Many of the most tragic tales are hidden behind the glamor of a career. Lolo Jones, athlete of the USA and World hurdle championships has achieved this status after many years of hard work and incredible endurance. Jones is a child born to a motherless family with five children suffering from poverty and hardships as a youngster, experienced an incredibly difficult childhood. Her mother was always moving around as well as having resided in a basement church for a short duration. This nomadic life forced Jones to attend a new school every year, until she began the high school. In Theodore Roosevelt High School Jones lived apart from her mother to pursue her passion for the track and field events. She lived at four different homes during her time in high school so that she could attend all of her classes at one time. Jones was a member of both the Orchestra of Iowa as well the Gatorade Track and Field Award. The award was also hers. award in the school. Jones was one of the best hurdlers in her age group when she first entered college. In 2002, at the NCAA Track & Field Championships, Jones won the 100-meter hurdles. She also participated in the team that finished second in the 100-meter relay. Jones has won indoor hurdles at NCAA Championships both in 2003 and 2004. Jones is training since 2005 when she graduated from her studies. The same year she also won her first Torino Memorial Event, while in 2026 she took home the Ostrava Track event and Heusden.
Brandt is a child of the Cape Town region. She grew up in Cape Town South Africa with her siblings and parents, relocated from Cape Town South Africa to Auckland New Zealand when she was in her teens. Brandt, discovered by local casting agents and was cast in the role of Naevia on the Starz blockbusters Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Due to her work with Steven S. D Knight and Sam Raimi's producers, she became an instant actor. She was a part of the cult Netflix series Lucifer which had a 6 year run playing the fan beloved comic book character from DC/Vertigo Mazikeen. Forbes named Lucifer the most binged-out show of 2021. Brandt's next performance will be in a six-episode Walking Dead spin-off in 2024 alongside Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurrira. She will also be starring alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan and Chris Meloni in the adult animated comedy Captain Fall which airs July 2023 on Netflix. Lesley Ann Brandt, born 2nd December 1981 from Cape Town South Africa. She is a renowned New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt moved with her whole family from New Zealand to Auckland in 1999. After just a couple of years working in the retail sector, she was promoted to the post of IT manager consultant. Lesley began her modeling career and then began to appear in commercials. She graduated in 2008 from her studies and enrolled in Meisner method of study. Lesley's debut prominent role with New Zealand was as a TV actor in Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt was a guest acting support on the New Zealand TV drama Shortland Street. Then she was in the sci-fi thriller called This Is Not My Life that is based on the fictional city of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt was cast in the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia who was a teenager hostage, and was later featured on the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena mini-series.
